An entire house has been mysteriously dumped on a vacant block after it was cleared to make way for a retail centre.

Property developer Rod Bray is now offering a reward information leading to identifying exactly how the home returned after it had been taken away.

Bray told Daily Mail Australia Northbridge Properties Group had purchased the site and the neighbouring plot in anticipation for construction to begin in January.

‘We bought the land a year ago as a condition of purchase cleared the site ready to start construction but somehow this derelict house has turned up,’ he said.

‘We think it was one of the houses that was removed a year ago… it’s likely riddled with asbestos so isn’t good for anything.’

Bray estimates it will cost about $30,000 to get rid of it and is keen to hunt down the former owners so they can remove the home which lacks any salvage value.

He is pursuing varying ways to pinpoint how exactly the house came back to its original spot and the police are involved.

One idea is to check CCTV footage in the area to identify the company responsible for bringing the home back and is also appealing for witnesses.

Once the former vendors have been located Bray says they will be ‘invited to remove’ the house or face prosecution.
