I’m a Celebrity host Julia Morris breaks down as she delivers a moving farewell to Chris Brown ahead of his move to Channel Seven: ‘I’m heartbroken to say goodbye to my beloved doctor’

I’m a Celebrity presenter Julia Morris delivered a touching farewell to her co-star Dr Chris Brown during Thursday’s episode, ahead of his move to Channel Seven.

The veteran presenter, 55, tearfully told cameras she considered Chris one of her closest friends and was heartbroken to say goodbye to him.

‘I met you almost a decade ago. Who would have guessed this odd couple would work so perfectly?’ she whimpered.

‘We became co-hosts on this crazy celebrity show and here we are nine years later. I was meant to get through that like a joke but I can honestly say I’m heartbroken to say goodbye to my beloved doctor.’

Chris, 44, added that what made their on-screen chemistry so strong was that they both brought unique experiences to the show and complemented each other.

Speaking about her on-screen partner’s exit, Julia told TV Week she is ‘deeply sad’ about losing him, and is still ‘living in a really healthy place called denial’.

However, the comedian insisted her friendship with the Bondi Vet star is still going strong despite him jumping ship to a rival network.

‘Life is life, and we roll with it. Fortunately, we have a solid friendship, so it hasn’t rocked the boat,’ she said.

Dr Chris announced his exit from Ten in February, after 15 years at the network.
