After their success revamping a tired 1980s motel in the nearby town of Maroochydore into the ultra-luxe Loea Boutique Hotel, the creative pair set their sights on the 1905-built Rosedale transforming it into the Malney Lodge that stands today.
Ms Pink used her keen eye for style to fill the rooms with antique-style furnishings, artworks and trinkets to revitalise the stunning property and create a tranquil and relaxing stay for its guests.
‘It has been a very careful balance between preserving the distinctive heritage character of the property and renovating it for the ultimate in contemporary luxury,’ Mr Pink said.
‘It’s all in the detail. Our seven individually designed bedrooms are not only beautiful, but we have designed them with the comfort of our guests in mind.’

‘We stayed in the Freda Suite, and took full use of the fireplace and the bath. The room along with the hotel is in a really lovely design, which pays homage to its heritage. There is also a heated pool which has a beautiful outlook over the woodlands below,’ one guest said of their experience.
Guests can rent out the main house for $790 a night with a two night minimum stay or the individual rooms separately from $260 per night
