Isla Fisher hits the beach with Sacha Baron Cohen after ringing in the New Year in Barbados

She’s been enjoying a relaxing start to 2023 on holiday in Barbados. 

And Isla Fisher seemed in good spirits as she enjoyed a day at the beach on Thursday, soaking up the sunshine from the shore while her husband Sacha Baron Cohen enjoyed a boat trip. 

The Australian actress, 46, looked effortlessly chic as she stepped out in a scarlet summer dress with ruched cap sleeves. 

She teamed the garment with a straw hat and sunglasses and went barefoot for her stroll. 

Sacha, 51, opted for a casual ensemble as he teamed a plain white T-shirt with a baseball cap. 

Isla gave fans a glimpse into their New Year’s Eve festivities last week as she quipped: ‘It’s been 2023 for 58 mins and so far there’s not been a new war, pandemic or economic crash.’

The couple – who celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary last month – have been enjoying a sunsoaked getaway over the festive period. 

Isla and Sacha met at a party in Sydney in 2002, and married eight years later.

Last year, Isla sweetly revealed she fell head over heels for her husband Sacha the first time they met.

She made the confession on The Project in January, after host Lisa Wilkinson told her the Ali G star had recently said it was love at first sight for him – but not for her.

‘I don’t know why [he said that], he was joking!’ the Wedding Crashers star replied.

‘I totally loved him right away. I mean, I knew it was definitely love at first sight,’ she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Isla reflected on the couple having been together for two decades – a rarity in the fickle world of showbusiness.

‘I think by Hollywood standards it’s probably 200 years!’ she joked. ‘I feel like it’s a Golden Jubilee or something. Everyone was congratulating me.’

‘It is a fun ride. I feel so lucky to have Sacha in my life. Now we have this beautiful family and we survived lockdown together, which you know, it is not easy for any couple,’ Isla added.
