I’ve been told my 38JJ boobs are inappropriate – but I refuse to get a breast reduction

A mother who has a 38JJ-sized bust says she won’t have breast reduction surgery even though strangers tell her she should.

Honey Positano, 35, from Melbourne, Australia, has opened up about dealing with people’s comments, which she says used to leave her feeling self conscious about her boobs.

The mother, who began feeling weary about her body from the tender age of 12, now supports women with similar issues by posting body positive content on Instagram.

She adds that her chest is too large to put away, even though strangers remark that she’s purposely flaunting them.

She told the Daily Star: ‘Regardless of if I’m wearing an oversized hoodie, bathing suit, tight dress or a simple T-shirt – it’s obvious I am fuller busted. People have always had a way of making me feel that I am putting my breasts on display, regardless of what I’m wearing’.

The mother-of-two went on to explain that her sizeable chest is ‘genetic’, adding that many women in her family have similar-sized breasts.

Her new found confidence has grown over the years – but things didn’t start out this way – with the model being bullied throughout her 20s’ for having ‘saggy’ breasts.

It’s a reality Honey has learned to live with, as her breasts weigh a staggering five kilograms, and are pulled down by gravity if she chooses to forego wearing a bra.

In the past, Honey admits to contemplating breast reduction surgery, but questioned whether paying thousands of dollars alongside a lifetime scar would be worth it in the end.

She couldn’t bear the thought of going through the pain of surgery just to please others, and has instead learned to adjust to the weight of her boobs.

What’s more, she refuses to feel pressured into societal norms and advises others to take a leaf out of her book and wear what they feel comfortable in.

Her tough persona has been years in the making, as far back as the days of primary school.

She continued: ‘I was ridiculed by teachers for wearing the standard school uniform top as it looked “inappropriate” and high school swim carnivals were a nightmare.

‘When I was younger, I went through stages of covering up as much as possible to then rebelling and dressing as brazen as I could, without being obscene’.

Her plus-sized bosom stirred up controversy yet again when she went in search of her very first wedding dress.

Honey struggled to find the perfect gown for her special day, with store assistants claiming she needed something ‘respectful and honest’.

And in a final nod to the haters, Honey is more self-assured than ever, and reminds herself that she can’t control what people have to say about her body.
