James Corden and wife Julia Carey cut casual figures in laid-back attire as they enjoy a dinner date

James Corden and his wife Julia Carey were interuppted by groups of starstruck fans who spotted the couple having dinner at Scott’s restaurant in London on Monday.

During his evening with his wife and a pal, the accomodating Late Late Show host, 43, could be seen standing up to take pictures with people in the resturant.

His dinner date comes amid reports that the TV firm behind his Late Late show was set to be dissolved on Tuesday 14 December.

Date night: James Corden and his wife Julia Carey kept things casual on Monday as they stepped out for a dinner date at Scott’s restaurant in London

During the evening outing, James donned a yellow jacket with the word ‘LOVED’ emblazoned across the back.

He teamed the garment with blue jeans and wrapped up warm in a black coat and navy scarf as he held on to his wife’s hand.

Julia looked stunning in a camel coat, and black scarf which she wore over a black jacket and black trousers with lace up boots.

The pair reportedly enjoyed a dinner of oysters, bread, cheese and pink champagne as they sat outside.

During their meal, the pair were interrupted by several fans asking for pictures with James, to which he graciously obliged.

It comes as last week mystery surrounded the future of James’ television production company that makes his successful US chat show.

Documents show that Fulwell 73 Productions LLP, on which the global star is listed as a designated member, was to be dissolved on Tuesday 14 December.

It is the umbrella company to Fulwell 73’s three other firms, one of which is also being dissolved.

The move appears to mean James is no longer involved in the business, which he joined in August 2017 to great fanfare.

Asked whether James would own any of the company after the changes, a spokesman for Fulwell 73 declined to comment.

The firm, jointly based in the UK and the US, is behind Mr Corden’s Late Late Show, as well as the recent programme where singer Adele was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey about her divorce.

According to official documents filed to Companies House, any remaining assets will be transferred to the Crown after it is dissolved. It is not known how much any assets are worth.

The company’s latest accounts, which related to 2019, show it had a turnover of £25.5 million and a profit of £11.5 million.

Sources close to Fulwell 73 – which was formed by James’ long-standing friend of 18 years, Ben Winston – described the move to dissolve the firm as a ‘procedural technicality with HMRC’, which ‘relates to accounts filed and delays due to the complexities of Covid accounting’.

When a spokesman was asked whether that meant the firm had unpaid tax bills, he declined to comment.

Last week, in a statement, Fulwell 73’s five partners, including James, said they are ‘as committed to the business as they ever have been’, and insisted that ‘Fulwell 73 is thriving’, after instructing celebrity public relations firm Freuds to deal with the media surrounding the company’s current circumstances.

It comes following the news James reached 1,000 episodes of The Late Late Show on CBS, and was visited by Mariah Carey to celebrate to milestone.

The 52-year-old singer was thanked by James for being the first star to participate in his Carpool Karaoke segment on the talk show.

James shared a clip of their 2015 Carpool Karaoke segment in which they sang Mariah’s hit songs Always Be My Baby, Fantasy, Vision Of Love and Thirsty.

‘We owe you so much for saying yes and taking a chance on us. We do. We really, really do and I thank you from the bottom of my heart,’ James said.

‘That is very sweet,’ said Mariah who earlier said it was her first public appearance in two years.

The 1,000th episode also featured a remote appearance by Tom Cruise, 59, who fondly recalled the time he and James parachuted out of a plane together.
