James and Julia have been married since 2012 and share three young children.
Their outing comes after James recently revealed he hates working out despite his lifestyle overhaul.
The Late Late Show host detailed how when he gets time off work he just wants to be ‘laying down’ not breaking a sweat and going to the gym.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show in July, James said, ‘I feel like I’m getting better. I’m trying, but I feel like there’s still a way to go.. I’ve lost just over 35lbs’.
James admitted to ‘not being a fan’ of hitting the gym and said ‘I’m trying to, but I suck at it. I’m so bad at it. It’s terrible. There are so few hours in the day that are just my own, do you know what I mean?’
‘I’ve got three young kids. We have the show and all these things. I feel like, ”Hang on a minute. I’ve got an hour here where I’m on my own, and I’m doing something that I absolutely hate”. I should just be laying down.’
James also joked that he isn’t keen on using personal trainers, saying: ‘I don’t trust them. I don’t think they want me to lose weight quickly’.
The star continued to explained that he’d ‘burned through’ roughly 75 of them before concluding getting paid by the hour made them disinterested in rapid results.
