Barcelona have officially unveiled Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo after signing the Portugal internationals on deadline day.

The pair posed for photos alongside Barcelona president Joan Laporta at the club’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground on Saturday.

After a summer rife with speculation regarding his future following his loan spell at Chelsea, Felix joined the Blaugrana on loan from Atletico Madrid, with no buy option included in the deal.

Speaking after the move was completed, the 23-year-old called joining the Catalan giants a ‘dream’.

Xavi’s side continued their business late into the day on Friday as the clock ticked down towards the transfer deadline, with Felix joined by Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo.

Like his international teammate, Cancelo had also been expected to depart his parent club this summer, with Bayern Munich said to have been interested in a permanent deal after he spent the latter half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club.

However, Barcelona’s late swoop for the 29-year-old ultimately proved successful as he joined on a season-long loan, again with no buy option included.

The new arrivals could make their debut on Sunday evening, as the club travel to the El Sadar Stadium to take on Osasuna.

Barca have enjoyed an undefeated start to the season thus far, most recently triumphing in a seven-goal thriller away to Villareal last weekend.
