Kamala Harris is facing criticism after ‘That little girl was me’ T-shirts, based on her desegregation comments during the Democratic debate, appeared on her campaign website.

In one of the most explosive moments of the Democratic debate in Miami on Thursday night, Harris attacked former Vice President Joe Biden’s work with Democratic segregationist senators on non-race issues, calling them ‘hurtful.’

She also slammed Biden, 76, for his past opposition to the busing of students to desegregated schools in the 1970s, arguing it was a state’s rights issue.

‘There was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools and she was bused to school everyday, and that little girl was me,’ she said.

Biden said Harris’ criticism was ‘a complete mischaracterization of my record.’

‘I ran because of civil rights,’ he added.
