Kate Hudson says it ‘took a little bit longer’ to lose the baby weight with daughter Rani compared to her two previous pregnancies

She gave birth to daughter Rani last October. 

And Kate Hudson admitted that it ‘took a little bit longer’ to lose weight this time around, compared to her two previous pregnancies. 

In an interview with People, the 40-year-old also noted her different diet process, which could explain the weight loss time extension.

‘This one took a little bit longer. It was like 12 months, but I did it differently,’ said the star. 

In December of last year, the Fabletics co-founder officially announced that she had joined WW, previously known as Weight Watchers, as a celebrity ambassador.  

‘It was a smarter way to take weight off, because it stays off,’ she said of the program. ‘I think the wonderful thing about what that is, is you can eat what you want, you just have to be conscious. It teaches you about food.’

Kate, who’s the daughter of Goldie Hawn, 74, already has a great relationship with food thanks to her mother and her long-time boyfriend, Kurt Russell, 68. 

‘I really understand food. I understand what I’m putting in my body, I grew up like that,’ she began. 

‘My parents are who taught me about that. But there’s a lot of people out there who don’t have that relationship to food,’ she noted.

They duo were first believed to be a couple in March of 2017, when they were seen showing affection outside of a juice shop in LA, according to Us Weekly. 

Kate also shares son Bingham, eight, with ex-boyfriend Matt Bellamy, and eldest child Ryder, 15, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.
