Kate Middleton’s low key beauty secrets revealed! How the glowing Princess of Wales ‘exudes effortless elegance’ with new ‘sun-kissed highlights’ and ‘understated yet polished’ makeup in video praising Team GB’s Olympians

The Princess of Wales delighted royal fans yesterday evening as she made a surprise congratulatory message to Team GB.

But it wasn’t just her unexpected appearance alongside Prince William, 42, that left Britons in awe – as the mother-of-three debuted a new hair and makeup look.

Kate, 42, who is continuing to undergo preventative chemotherapy, was positively glowing in her latest appearance where she congratulated Team GB alongside a host of well-known personalities.

Makeup artist Joy Adenuga explained that the royal, 42, conveyed a ‘relaxed, approachable demeanour’ through her ‘sun-kissed highlights’ and ‘understated yet polished’ makeup look.

Speaking to FEMAIL, the expert said that Kate’s achieved look exudes a sense of ‘effortless elegance that perfectly aligns with her role’.

In the short clip, Kate said: ‘From all of us watching at home congratulations to Team GB.’

The Prince of Wales, wearing an official blue Team GB top, then briefly added: ‘Well done to Team GB you’ve been an inspiration to us all.’

Kate debuted a new, lighter hairstyle for the occasion and a makeup look full of meaning, according to expert Joy Adenuga.

She explained: ‘In the Princess of Wales’s latest congratulatory message for Team GB, her hair and makeup exude a sense of effortless elegance that perfectly aligns with her role.’

On the topic of Kate’s lightened hair, Joy added: ‘Her hair appears subtly lightened, with a few sun-kissed highlights, giving her brunette locks a softer, more radiant look.

‘The slight lift in colour enhances her natural glow, adding a touch of brightness that complements her complexion.’

Moving on to her makeup look, the expert explained: ‘Her makeup is understated yet polished, with a fresh, natural base that highlights her flawless skin.

‘The use of a soft, neutral eyeshadow with a hint of shimmer draws attention to her eyes without overpowering them, while a light dusting of blush adds a healthy flush to her cheeks.

‘Her lips are kept in a muted, rosy shade, which not only balances the look but also reinforces a relaxed, approachable demeanour.’

Joy concluded: ‘Overall, this look suggests a confident, composed, and relaxed princess—someone who is effortlessly chic yet perfectly attuned to the occasion.

‘It’s a beauty look that speaks volumes about her grace and poise while staying true to her signature style.

Meanwhile, Laura Kay, makeup expert and Founder of Laura Kay London, further explained how Kate obtained her look.

She said: ‘Her new look is naturally dazzling, and she appears to be enjoying the British summertime, evident from her tan.

‘Her eyes are subtle yet striking, defined with soft smouldering soft brown hues that complement her tan perfectly.

Laura added: ‘She has enhanced her look with bronzer to contour her cheekbones and jawline, adding to a sun-kissed, youthful glow.

‘She has also used what appears to be a liquid highlighter to further accentuate her cheekbones, reflecting light beautifully. This really helps to define her features.

‘Her lips now boast a glossier finish, enhancing their fullness, which is a departure from her previous preference for traditional pink shades that made her lips sometimes appear thinner. This makeup look complements her hair, showcasing sun-kissed strands.’

The Prince of Wales also debuted a fresh look in the video, with the 42-year-old displaying a new beard.

In an accompanying social media post on their account, the royal couple said: ‘Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey!

‘Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart, and passion. You made us all so proud!

‘Here’s to celebrating every triumph @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer’.

Former Welsh athlete Colin Jackson beamed with delight as he told the Olympians: ‘You smashed it.’

Broadcaster Emma Willis said it had been ‘sensational to watch you over the last couple of weeks.’

Swimmer Rebecca Adlington had huge praise for Team GB. She said: ‘Your performances have been absolutely fantastic.’

Former jockey and presenter Clare Balding said: ‘I know how much you have lifted the nation and I just want to say thank you for that.’

The rapper said: ‘Thank you Great Britain. On behalf of Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife,’ before clasping his hands together and bowing his head.

Kate and William’s beaming video came shortly after a heartfelt statement from King Charles III, in which he called all Olympians ‘an inspiration’.

The monarch congratulated their ‘outstanding successes’ and singled out their ‘raw talent, true grit and hard toil’ in the message, which came just hours before the final moments of the Olympic Games in the French capital.
