Katy Perry promotes her mushroom purses on Instagram as she whiles away time in coronavirus lockdown

She’s maintained her American Idol judging duties during coronavirus lockdown and just dropped a new single daisies from her upcoming fifth studio album.

And pregnant Katy Perry isn’t slowing down as she continues to await the birth of her first child later this summer.

The pop star, 35, took to Instagram on Tuesday night to hawk her mushroom purses, sharing images of the product and urging fans to snap one up. 

In the caption alongside a promotional photo showing her with hands raised above her head holding a red and white purse while decked out in a matching ensemble, she wrote: ‘I know we’re all sheltering in place, but if you really wanna go on a trip, why don’t you BAG a mushroom purse?’

She went on: ‘And don’t forget 10% of every purchase will be donated to @baby2baby to assist their efforts in providing essential items to children and families impacted by COVID-19.’ 

The purses normally retail for $75 via her Katy Perry Collections website where she also sells a variety of handbags and shoes.

Perry is expecting a baby girl with her fiance Orlando Bloom.

In an interview with Britain’s Capital radio this past Saturday, the Roar hitmaker spoke about the challenges of being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Everyone talks about cravings when you’re pregnant and for me, I think about cravings but I also think about ‘do I want to risk my life getting that craving?” she said.

‘So it’s all like really intense thoughts that are supposed to be light and bright and you’re like ‘aaarrggh!” she continued. ‘You know, there’s so many levels of uncertainty and it’s really a one day at a time type of thing.’

Perry announced her pregnancy earlier in the year while debuting her music video for Never Worn White. 

She and British actor Bloom got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2018. 

When they tie the knot, it will be the second time around for both of them.

Perry was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand from 2010 and 2012 while Bloom was married to Australian model Miranda Kerr with whom he shares nine-year-old son Flynn.
