Keith Urban worried Nicole Kidman lookalike daughter Sunday Rose, 16, ‘not ready for fame’ after high profile red carpet appearances

Keith Urban has voiced his concerns over daughter Sunday’s recent entrance into the showbiz world according to a new report, saying she isn’t ready for fame.

The 16-year-old made her red carpet debut in April at the 2024 American Film institute Life Achievement Award Gala, which honored her mother Nicole Kidman’s storied film career.

She has also recently popped up on other red carpets such as the Balenciaga Haute Couture show at Paris Fashion Week.

However an ‘insider’ has revealed to Woman’s Day that Keith, 56, would prefer Sunday to stay out of the spotlight until she ‘grows up.’

‘He knows he’s overprotective but he wants Sunday to wait a few years to really grow up before she even thinks about becoming a star.’

The source added that Sunday Rose, who is looking more and more like her famous mother every day, is pushing Nicole, 57, to be allowed to attend the red carpet events with ‘overprotective’ Keith preferring his daughter stayed home.

‘Keith’s really got himself caught between a rock and a hard place,’ the insider claimed.

‘Sunday and Nicole are cut from the same cloth but he’s worries that Nic may be taking the easy path and saying “yes” too many times to their daughter.’

Nicole and Keith share two children Sunday Rose, 16 and Faith Margaret, 13. Nicole also shares two adopted children Connor, 29, and Bella, 31 with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Nicole and Keith are one of Hollywood’s longest lasting couples, having tied the knot in 2006.

Speaking to US outlet ABC News in 2018, Keith admitted that he ‘loved’ being a father to girls.

‘I just love being a parent,’ Keith revealed. ‘I didn’t know that I’d ever get to be one.’

The hitmaker continued: ‘It’s an incredible feeling.

‘And having girls — I love having girls. You know, I come from a family with no sisters, one brother. So, it’s been quite the learning curve in a really good way.’

Keith added that his family life was quite ‘normal’ saying that they don’t get wrapped up in the pitfalls of fame.

‘ We have a real life in the sense that we do the most normal things as a family, and we don’t live on social media all the time,’ Keith said.

‘We don’t read tabloids. We don’t give it any attention.’

'Keith's really got himself caught between a rock and a hard place because Sunday's been the one who's been on at Nicole to let her go to these events,' the insider claimed
