Kim Kardashian roles: All the cameos she has made as she prepares to star in American Horror Story

Kim Kardashian is a named and face that’s known to millions across the globe, thanks to her wildly popular reality series, her successful apparel line, and numerous modeling contracts – but did you know she’s also a budding actress too?

The model, business woman, and reality star, 42, recently announced that she has joined the cast of American Horror Story’s upcoming twelfth season – and it turns out, this isn’t the first thing that she has starred in.

Kim has actually been acting for more than a decade – however, most of her previous roles were so quick that you might miss them if you blink.

It’s safe to say that acting isn’t Kim’s most successful endeavor – and while she’s landed a slew of small roles and brief cameos over the years, many of them were in movies that were widely panned by critics and audiences alike.

Kim Kardashian is joining the cast of American Horror Story’s upcoming twelfth season, creator Ryan Murphy confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter last week

Take the flick Disaster Movie, for example. The film – which was Kim’s first ever role – was branded by some as the worst movie of all time after it came out in 2008, and it now has the lowest possible rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

And don’t forget Kim’s seconds-long part in the 2009 movie Deep in the Valley – which got reviews that said, ‘I’m embarrassed to say that I have seen this piece of trash,’ and ‘Is there any movie out there worse than this?’

Kim’s latest role in American Horror Story is certainly a big step up from the things she has starred in previously.

The FX show, which was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk and first premiered in 2011, is one of the most popular show’s of all time.

Kim will join Emma Roberts in the latest season, The Hollywood Reporter announced last week. The rest of the cast has not been revealed just yet.

‘Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,’ Ryan said in a statement.

‘Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.’

Is Kim really among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world? We’ll let you decide…

‘She just fit perfectly with everyone else. I know that her acting strengths and weaknesses was one of [the public’s] questions, and it’s really not an issue,’ she added.

‘I don’t look at that with any actor. The important question would be: Does the actor we cast get the point across that the director wants to make? This cast did a wonderful job. Kim included.’

Tyler also addressed the backlash, explaining that he hoped Kim’s massive following would help spread the movie’s message.

‘I thought, “What better person? She literally has millions of young people following her,”‘ he wrote on his website in 2012.

‘I thought and still do think that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film.

‘To have the young people that look up to her see her in a film that is about what happens in life when you make the wrong choice.’
