Kylian Mbappe ‘tells PSG he will LEAVE at the end of the season’ and end his long-running transfer saga… with Europe’s top clubs now on red alert

Kylian Mbappe will ‘leave Paris-Saint Germain’ when his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit expires this summer, according to reports.

After several years of back-and-forth and uncertainty over whether he would be staying beyond 2025, the 25-year-old has reportedly told the Ligue 1 champions that he will be moving on in the summer.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein wrote that: ‘Mbappe has communicated his decision to PSG but the terms of his exit are yet to be fully agreed. An official announcement is expected once the situation is finalised in the next few months.’

He aded on X (formerly Twitter) that his departure ‘could save the club £171million-per-year (€200m-per-year)’ with Luis Enrique’s side set to focus their investments on ‘youth and the collective’.

Real Madrid are the front runners to sign him, with recent reports claiming that Carlo Ancelotti’s players have been talking about the Frenchman’s future in the dressing room.

Even Arsenal have been linked with Mbappe, with one report also claiming that he could be ‘willing’ to follow in the footsteps of France legend Thierry Henry and join the Gunners.

It comes after the France World Cup winner scored during their 2-0 victory against Real Sociedad in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Mbappe joined the Parisian side in 2017 from Monaco, initially on a loan deal, before signing a two-year contract extension in 2021. He has subsequently gone on to return a staggering 243 goals in 290 appearances for the club, netting his 44th goal Champions League goal last night.
