Latrell Mitchell lets fly with FOUR F-bombs on live radio after South Sydney were smashed by Brisbane: ‘I don’t care if I’m swearing, boys’

  • Latrell Mitchell swore multiple times on live radio
  • Told Ben Dobbin he ‘didn’t care’ about using foul language

Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell could have some explaining to do at NRL headquarters after swearing on live radio multiple times following his team’s defeat at the hands of the Broncos on Thursday night.

Mitchell, 26, endured a mixed night at Suncorp Stadium as his team lost their second match in succession to open the 2024 season.

Speaking afterwards to Triple M’s Ben Dobbin, the Indigenous star lamented his team not taking their chances as they were outclassed 28-18.

‘Look, honestly, f**k, it was s**t,’ he began.

‘In the first bit, it was just a hard game, f**k, we showed what we’re about.

‘Honestly, they’re big boys, they’re competitors. You wonder why they came runner-up last year, so f**k, we can build on that.

‘I don’t care if I’m swearing, boys, honestly.’

Mitchell then explained he was happy with scoring his 100th NRL try during the match and added another F-bomb.

Dobbin kept his composure, before Fox League commentator Dan Ginnane firmly ‘thanked’ Mitchell for his time on the airwaves.

Jason Demetriou wasn’t a happy coach at fulltime, labelling his team’s performance a ‘horror show.’

‘I thought our defensive effort was outstanding, but we are just shooting ourselves in the foot,’ he said.

‘Whether we can’t feed the scrum properly or first tackle errors, kicking it into our own player, penalties for blocking, just like, it was a horror show of just little things that just kept putting pressure on ourselves.

‘We are just making schoolboy areas. We’ve got to tidy them up. When we do we have a very, very good footy side.’

In what has been a brutal start to the season, arch-rivals the Roosters await on March 22 at Allianz Stadium.
