LeBron James has been the latest NBA superstar to comment on the proposed transfer of PSG star Kylian Mbappe to Saudi Arabian club, Al-Hilal.

The widely reported $332million offer to PSG – which excludes the reported $770m Mbappe could earn from the one-year contract offer – stunned the sports world.

Milwaukee Bucks franchise player Giannis Antetokounmpo received a reaction from Mbappe when he tweeted Monday; ‘Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe,’ in response to a report the Frenchman was uninterested in the offer.

Mbappe responded with several laughing reactions – his only public response to the since the life-changing proposal came to light.

Now, James has joined in on the conservation, hilariously suggesting he would pack his bags for Saudi Arabia.

‘Me headed to Saudi when they call @RichPaul4 & @mavcarter for that 1 year deal!’ alongside a gif of Forrest Gump sprinting,’ James tweeted Monday night.

For context, the highest-earning year of James’ NBA career will be 2023-24. According to Spotrac, his base salary will be $47.6m dollars — more than $700m less than what Mbappe could bring in should he depart Paris.

Former teammate of James, J.R. Smith – who now plays college golf at North Carolina A&T State – tweeted in 2022 that he would consider joining cashed-up Saudi-backed LIV Golf.

‘[$]200ms [sic] s*** it would be a hell of a conversation especially if I’m not “McIlroyRory level,’ he said in response to Mail Sport’s news editor, Alex Raskin.

Al-Hilal’s offer would eclipse Neymar’s £198m move from Barcelona to PSG as the most expensive transfer in football history.

It is claimed that the Saudi Pro League side could put a release clause in a lucrative contract which could allow Mbappe to sign for Real Madrid next summer.

Mbappe has long been keen on a move to Madrid, with many believing a free transfer to the Spanish giants in 2024,a mere formality.
