Lenny Kravitz has a ‘very open dialogue’ with his daughter Zoë Kravitz.
The Fly Away singer, 56, feels lucky to have such a special relationship with his 31-year-old actress daughter, something he has always wanted since he saw how close his own mother, Roxie Roker, was with his grandfather Albert.

‘My mother and my grandfather had a very close relationship. To the point where, as a teenager, I thought it was ridiculous,’ the rocker continued.
‘I would just say, like, “You guys are on top of each other all the time.”
‘They loved each other, and they valued each other. So when I see the relationship between Zoë and myself, I see the relationship between my mother and my grandfather. It makes me very happy that we’ve elevated to that level,’ Lenny added.

Kravitz also has a great relationship with his ex-wife Lisa Bonet – who is mother to Big Little Lies star Zoë – and Lisa’s husband of three years Jason Momoa, and has described them all as ‘one family’.
Speaking to People Magazine about his bond with Lisa, whom he divorced in 1993, and her Aquaman star spouse Jason, he added: ‘It’s essential.
‘We have a child, and we love each other just as much as before – it’s just a different situation. It takes time, work and dedication, but that is something that the two of us had. I love her husband, and I love her children.

‘We all get together, and we have the best times. We communicate, we have each other’s backs and that is the way it should be. We’re all one family,’ Lenny added.
And in the November edition of Men’s Health, the rock star also ruminated on his blended family. ‘People can’t believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with [my daughter] Zoë’s mom, how we all relate.
‘We just do it because that’s what you do. You let love rule, right?’
