Lily Collins and husband Charlie McDowell pack on PDA with smooches while on ‘Danish weekend abroad’

Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell tied-the-knot last September and spent their honeymoon in Europe, making stops at various locales in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

It appears Denmark left a lasting impression on the couple, considering they just made a return trip for a ‘Danish weekend abroad…’

Using the gorgeous landscape as a backdrop, the actress took to her Instagram page and shared an adorable selfie snap of herself giving her man a kiss on the cheek.

For the photo, Collins and McDowell stood just feet from a waterway, as well as an old structure, seemingly a home, on the side of a hill overlooking the shoreline.

In a sign there’s a chill in the air in Denmark, Collins is seen wearing a tan jacket, while her husband, who’s a writer and director, opted to coverup with a brown coat over a black-and-white hoodie.

The show of affection didn’t end with the one photo; Collins also posted images of them sharing a more passionate kiss on the lips, and another where they snuggled up together and looked towards the camera.

Return trip: The weekend visit to Denmark comes nine months after they spent time in the country as part of their European honeymoon last September

The daughter of Genesis singer Phil Collins also gave her 26.9 million Instagram fans and followers other glimpses at the local landscape with a few photos of her husband.

There’s one picture of The One I Love director ‘in his natural element’ while standing on large rocks near the water, and another that shows him closer up where she calls him ‘my [love]’, with the use of a white heart emoji.

She also turned the camera on herself and snapped a shot that showed her boots and part of her jacket and pink pants, as she inched closer to the water.

McDowell also shared a few images of their trip to Denmark, which included a short video that panned from lovely hillside, along the shoreline, and out to the water.

’10 pm in Denmark,’ he captioned the clip, which was taken while it was still daylight.

Three days earlier, he shared a photo of himself holding their pet pooch with a distressed look on his face.

‘Jet lag is real,’ he wrote in the caption, which explains his distressed look.

Collins initially traveled back to Europe in late May to begin work on season three of her hit show Emily In Paris. 

The comedy-drama, in which Collins plays an American who moves to France to provide an American point of view to the French marketing firm Savoir, premiered in October 2020.

This past January, the show got renewed for a third and fourth season by Netflix.
