The 42-year-old make-up artist favourited a tweet from a fan that read: ‘Your unconditional love & support made A who he is’ shortly before re-posting a fiery message stating: ‘Get up and get your s**t together’.

Suggesting that Ant will have regrets over their split, the tweet continued: ‘Easy to think you don’t want UNTIL you don’t have.. Never Be Another You’.

Hint? Lisa Armstrong took to Twitter on Thursday to share a motivational quote describing people as either ‘puddles’ or ‘oceans’ and explained she would ‘get her s**t together’

Lisa seemed to be comforted by the words, which came from a fan who tweeted her: ‘5 years ago I was where you are now… My wee mantra. Got me through…chin up girl you got this x [sic]’

The quote read: ‘Life is going to get hard sometimes. So get the f**k up and get your s**t together. You’re either an ocean or a puddle. Don’t be a puddle. People walk through puddles like they’re nothing. Oceans f***ing destroy cities.’

Earlier in the week, she also retweeted a kind message from a fan, who had described her as a ‘tough cookie’.

MailOnline has contacted Ant and Lisa’s representatives for comment.

Lisa’s comments come after Ant spoke out about his ‘very tricky and emotional’ year.

The embattled 42-year-old TV presenter has been through a difficult 12 months after being rehabilitated for drug addiction following a painful knee injury and later splitting from his wife Lisa which he announced earlier this month.

He spoke to The Sun at Monday night’s NTAs after growing emotional on-stage when he and his best friend Ant dominated the annual awards ceremony, after sweeping the board with three gongs, including Best Presenter for the 17th year running.

Speaking to the publication, Ant, who has remained relatively silent on his woes, confessed to his struggles just days after his divorce announcement.

Earlier in the evening, on receiving the award, Ant broke down in tears as he made his way to the stage and insisted that the prize had ‘meant a lot’ following a ‘tough year’.

On-stage he said: ‘I’m emotional, very emotional. Because of the last 12 months what I’ve been through, winning this award is particularly emotional for me.’

He had sought treatment in a rehab centre for an addiction to painkillers, with his marriage breaking down in the months that followed his return home.

On Wednesday, Lisa thanked a fan for reaching out to her on Twitter, following Ant’s emotional display on Tuesday, as the fan suggested that the last 12 months have been as difficult for her as they have for the presenting star.

The exchange came as Lisa celebrated Strictly Come Dancing’s NTA win in the Talent Show category, which she works backstage on – the BBC hit had beaten Britain’s Got Talent, fronted by Ant and his presenting partner Declan Donnelly.

As many fans reached out to Ant on the social media site, one made sure to show Lisa their support as they penned: ‘@lisaAmakeup everyone is talking about Ant but just wanted to say you’ve had a tough year aswell & I hope you are ok. Congrats on your NTA. Much love x.’

Seeming to agree, Lisa simply replied: ‘Thank you.’

‘Well said, such a shame but unfortunately things like this happen to many of us. Chin up and onwards, happiness will come again.

Her tweet comes amid claims she is staying in a friend’s spare room, having left the marital home she had shared with Ant to ‘come to terms’ with their heartbreaking split.

According to The Mirror, Lisa has taken up residence with good pal Clare Buckfield – who previously dated Ant’s best friend and double act partner Dec.

A close friend claimed Lisa is a ‘strong independent woman’ but she ‘has told those closest to her she needs a fresh start.’ Lisa reportedly wanted her ‘own space’ to try and be as normal possible during the next phase in her relationship with Ant.

The source continued: ‘Lisa is a survivor and has been through a lot – and she has no intention of acting any differently now.

‘Some friends invited Lisa to stay and have been cheering her up, they have been a real support. While Lisa is going through so much right now she hasn’t lost her humour, they have been keeping her in good spirits.

Ant and Lisa announced their plans to divorce on January 13, with Ant’s spokesman confirming the news to MailOnline: ‘In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

‘Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.’

Ant and Lisa’s divorce could reportedly cost the ITV star, whose net worth is estimated at £62million, a grand total of £31million.

He, meanwhile, has been throwing himself into work in the wake of his split and was seen rejoining Dec on set of Britain’s Got Talent, as filming for the new series gets underway.

Lisa had been due to work as a make-up artist on the new series of the show, but determined to avoid difficult interactions with her husband in her work life, former pop singer Lisa has reportedly moved away from Britain’s Got Talent to prevent ‘awkward’ backstage encounters from happening.

She will allegedly work on the show’s spin-off Britain’s Got More Talent instead, where she will be less likely to run into Ant. Sources claimed Lisa, who is Stephen Mulhern’s beauty assistant, is keen to ‘continue as normal’ and wants to keep things ‘civilised’ with her husband of 11 years.

‘Lisa has worked on BGT for years and is keen to continue as normal. She has friends there and enjoys being part of the show,’ a source told The Sun.

‘She’s generally done Stephen’s make-up and helped other people but this year the plan is for her to work exclusively on the spin-off.’
