Lorraine Kelly left blushing as Ben Shephard reveals the VERY racy texts her husband sends her

Lorraine Kelly was left blushing on Thursday when Ben Shephard shared the very racy texts her husband sends her during her live shows.

Ben and co-host Susanna Reid were wrapping up Good Morning Britain before doing a live link to Lorraine, with the presenter unable to resist bringing up an article involving her and Steve.

And Lorraine, 63, was clearly blindsided by her partner’s saucy messages being revealed as she asked Ben: ‘How did they get hold of that?’

During the live link where Lorraine explained what was coming up on her show, Ben, 48, quizzed her about the newspaper article, teasing: ‘It would appear he’s very generous with his affections while you’re on air.

‘He often likes to say how wonderful you’re looking in the morning in an affectionate way.’

To which a red-faced Lorraine responded: ‘It depends what I’m wearing. It depends how much I’m showing.’

Going into further detail, she continued: ‘Sometimes he does say “Nice boobs”, before asking of the story: ‘How did they get hold of that? Where did that come from? Have I been talking too much again?’

And while Ben suggested Steve – whom Lorraine married in 1992 could be the source, Lorraine did in fact spill the beans herself in an interview with Woman’s Weekly magazine.

Meanwhile, Susanna, 52, said of the situation: ‘As we’re coming up to Valentine’s Day, how lovely. Your husband still texts you to say “Nice boobs”.’

With Ben piping up, saying: ‘Next time Lorraine’s on her show and she looks down at her phone, it could be Steve sending a little message.’

However, Lorraine didn’t feel so sure f this as pointing to her geometric print shirt dress which was buttoned up to the neck, she said: ‘This dress isn’t going to get any comments from him this morning though, Ben.’

As Ben replied: ‘I’m sure he will send you something lovely regardless.’

Concluding the light-hearted exchange, Susanna said: ‘You always look fab Lorraine. There are lots of serious issues, so it’s nice to have a moment of joy.’

In her previous chat with Women’s Weekly, Lorraine told how the secret to keeping her 30-year marriage alive is ‘keeping things flirty’.

She explained: ‘Of course intimacy is important at whatever stage of a relationship you’re in – you’ve got to keep that alive.

‘After 30 years, Steve still fancies me.’

Going on to reveal the racy exchange between herself and her husband of which Ben referred to, she continued: ‘He’s a real boob man and will text during the show if I’ve got a dress on to say ‘Nice Boobs’! It’s good to still be flirty.’

In 2021, Lorraine gave a rare insight to her then 29-year marriage to husband Steve, revealing their sex life is ‘toddling along nicely’.

The daytime television presenter, who wed cameraman Steve in 1992, says the secret to keeping intimacy alive is ‘having confidence in yourself, adding that ‘a lot of older women can feel invisible’.

She added that despite going up a dress size after snacking with her husband throughout lockdown, she’s not concerned about the extra pounds and doesn’t even own a pair of scales.

‘It is all about being confident in yourself. A lot of older women can feel invisible, but I don’t’, she told the Mirror.

She said that despite going from a size ten to a 12 she won’t be counting her calories and will try and shift the extra weight by taking Zumba classes and avoiding sugary snacks.

‘I am not going to beat myself up about it. I don’t have scales so I don’t know how much actual weight I have put on. I always go by how my clothes fit.

‘I don’t think calories should be counted, but I am not stressing about the extra pounds.’

Steve, who shares daughter Rosie with Lorraine, has famously stayed out of the spotlight and she has previously praised her husband for ‘picking up the slack’ and enabling her to juggle her busy work and home life.

She told the publication in September: ‘He picks up the slack and always has. I couldn’t do what I do if it weren’t for him. He makes me laugh an awful lot. He’s very kind and a brilliant dad.’
