Lost star Matthew Fox features in fresh teaser for Stan’s new original comedy series C*A*U*G*H*T

Stan has dropped a fresh teaser for their new half-hour comedy series C*A*U*G*H*T, ahead of the series premiere on September 28.

The hilarious new sneak peek features Hollywood star Matthew Fox – famed for his role in the TV classic Lost.

The hunky star plays a macho American special forces soldier who finds himself in the middle of a major diplomatic snafu between Australia and the U.S.

Produced by Oscar winner Sean Penn and Aussie actor Kick Gurry, who also stars and directs, the story begins when a small group of Aussie soldiers embark on a mission to the tiny war-torn country of Behati-Prinsloo, a fictional island state.

Unfortunately, the four soldiers are mistaken for Americans by local freedom fighters, who hold them captive.

But then the Aussie hostages become global internet stars, after their kidnap video goes viral.

They quickly realise being held prisoner is their gateway to celebrity.

In the new sneak peek Fox, dressed in combat gear, can be seen brandishing a very large weapon as he taunts the four Aussie soldiers about their not-so-secret mission on the island.

The Aussies, meanwhile, are none too glad to meet Fox and his cohort after driving down a lonely highway in the middle of the jungle.

‘F**king Americans,’ is how Kicky Gurry’s character Dylan greets Fox.

Following some unfriendly banter Fox’s character – called Lt. Pete – waves off the Aussie solders with a rude gesture.

Ben O’Toole (Detroit), Last King of the Cross star Lincoln Younes and Alexander England from Stan’s Black Snow play alongside Kick Gurry as the Aussie soldiers who end up captured by rebels.

C*A*U*G*H*T also stars Thelma and Louise Hollywood legend Susan Sarandon as U.S. Secretary of State Alaska Adams.

Fan favourite, Bryan Brown, meanwhile, plays the sports-mad Australian Prime Minister Warren Whistle.

Also featured in the cast are Sean Penn, Nicholas Hammond, Silvia Colloca, Mel Jarnson, Fayssal Bazzi and Dorian Nkono.

Travis Fimmel from Vikings, Rebecca Breeds (Clarice), Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton, Bella Heathcote, Erik Thomson from Black Snow and Lost’s Matthew Fox also feature.

C*A*U*G*H*T is created by Kick Gurry with Sean Penn as executive producer with producers John Schwarz and Michael Schwarz
