Love Island Australia fans left furious as it emerges the finale was FAKE and prerecorded: For the love of god Nine, please give us proper season’

Love Island Australia fans have been left furious over Tuesday’s ‘fake’ finale after it was revealed three different endings were prerecorded.

Earlier this week, lovebirds Austen Bugeja and Claudia Bonifazio were crowned winners and took home the $50,000 prize money.

But according to Yahoo, the couple filmed their finale segment for the show weeks before, along with two of the other couples.

This has ruffled the feathers of many fans of the show who took to Twitter to complain that Austen and Claudia’s reaction to winning the series did not seem genuine.

‘Dear Love Island and Channel Nine producers, for the love of God, give us a proper season! None of this prerecorded months in advance crap,’ one upset fan tweeted.

Others said they would be boycotting future seasons if producers continued to prerecord finales as reactions seemed ‘off’ and said it should allow audience voting.

It comes after show producers rejected claims the cast of the dating series features professional actors.

It recently emerged that Islanders Claudia Bonifazio and Tak Chipangura appear on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), with credits as performers on Australian film projects.

However, executive producer Alex Mavroidakis said there is nothing fake about the show.

He told TV Tonight the series, which screened on 9Now, attracts ‘extroverts’ to audition as cast members.

‘Anyone who has even been in a dog food commercial can create an IMDb account!’ he said.

Mavrodakis added that with the exception of some format points, delivered by host Sophie Monk, Love Island had no script and went on to slam the shows critics.

‘Feigning surprise that some reality TV contestants have had bit parts in dramas, done some extra work or starred in a student film is like being shocked that a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? contestant once won a pub quiz,’ he said.
