MAFS AU: Ryan Gallagher drinks raw egg smoothie in trailer for The Challenge

Married At First Sight groom Ryan Gallagher has given insight into his training regimen ahead of his appearance on the new reality series, The Challenge.

In a new teaser shared to Instagram, the stand-up comedian, 34, is seen downing a very unique drink to quench his thirst.

‘I’m known as a bit of a country hick but raw egg smoothies are good for you,’ Ryan is heard saying in the footage, as he guzzles the creamy concoction.  

Several of his celebrity co-stars were taken aback by his unconventional diet.

‘Ryan is a cartoon character. Disgusting,’ joked The Bachelor’s Jessica Brody. 

Ryan rose to fame on MAFS in 2018, alongside his notoriously unfaithful bride Davina Rankin. 

He also appeared on Channel 10’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2020.

During the show, he struck up a brief romance with British reality star Charlotte Crosby, but things fizzled out weeks after filming wrapped. 

The Challenge Australia has been described as a cross between Survivor and Ninja Warrior and was filmed in Argentina earlier this year.

Ryan’s co-stars include Bachelorette’s Brooke Blurton and singer Jack Vidgen.

Konrad Bień-Stephen and Megan Marx are also confirmed for the series.

The Challenge premieres Monday November 14 on Channel 10
