MAFS reaches a new low as a wild bride Hayley Vernon raps and twerks through her wedding

Married At First Sight welcomed one of its most outrageous brides ever on Wednesday with former drug addict-turned-bodybuilder Hayley Vernon.

The tattooed 32-year-old was matched with truck driver David Cannon, 31, who comes from a conservative Christian family.

As expected, his parents were less than impressed with their new daughter-in-law, who rapped and swore her way through her wedding ceremony.

‘I love my parents to pieces, but they’re so traditional,’ David admitted before his wedding.

‘Growing up, it was always “no sex before marriage, no moving in with someone before marriage.” All those sorts of traditional beliefs.’

Despite the red flags, Hayley and David had an instant connection as soon as they met.

However, David’s parents were less than impressed once they heard the rambunctious Hayley drop an F-bomb at the altar.

‘Oh god, I swear but it’s only because I’m passionate!’ she screeched as David’s unimpressed parents sat stone-faced in the front row.

The outrageous antics continued when Hayley lunged at David for a tongue kiss as the altar – horrifying his Christian parents.

Once they got to the reception, Hayley gyrated and danced with her bridesmaids before revealing that she’d bought sexy lingerie for her wedding night.

She later got up in front of everybody and started to twerk and beat-box on the mic, before launching into a rap.

Hayley dropped another F-bomb on the mic, causing David’s disapproving dad to shake his head in disbelief.

‘I don’t know if she’s the right style of woman for David,’ his dad admitted in an interview with producers.

‘I think David probably needs a girl [with] a personality a little more like mine, that’s a little bit more sedate,’ he continued.

David’s mother was so upset that she refused to even speak at first, before saying that Hayley’s personality seemed too extreme for her son.

Earlier in the episode, Hayley opened up about her rough childhood and past addiction to drugs.

‘My teenage years were a little bit rougher than most,’ she said.

‘I come from a family that very early on in the piece broke up… When you’ve got those kind of things going on in your adolescence and you’re trying to find yourself as a person it’s extremely difficult.’

She continued: ‘I turned to drugs. At the end of the day, it was as simple as that.

‘I was kicked out of home from the age of 17 and I was abusing several substances. This was all I knew for about eight or nine years… It’s actually the worst thing in the world, it’s crippling.’

The brunette said that she turned her life around after temporarily relocating to Queensland to get clean and take up bodybuilding.

‘I started training. It gave me direction, it gave me purpose, it gave me focus,’ she said.

Hayley and David weren’t the only MAFS couple to tie the knot on Wednesday, with Vanessa Romito, 31, and Chris Nicholls, 37, also walking down the aisle.

Vanessa said that her battle with ‘disfiguring acne’ had severely hindered her romantic life over the years.

‘I don’t think it’s a choice that I’m single,’ she admitted. ‘I’m ready for a relationship but modern dating is very superficial.’

She added: ‘People tend to pick out your imperfections, and I’ve got a lot of them.’

The brunette admitted that she’s so self conscious over her skin that she avoids going on dates with men during the day.

‘I think I’m probably most attractive at night, when the lighting is dim,’ she said.

Vanessa explained her acne in further detail, revealing that her pimples would get so big at times that they would cover her eye or stick out on the side of her chin.

‘It damaged my confidence a lot,’ she said. ‘I don’t think anybody would truly be satisfied with this.

‘I’ve always felt like I was gonna be left on the shelf,’ she continued.

‘I want someone who is proud to stand next to me. I want someone to love me for all my imperfections.’

Married At First Sight continues Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine
