Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz revealed during Wednesday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! that child stardom set him up for life.
The Emmy nominated actor, 38, told his fellow campmates he was worth a staggering $US40million ($61M AUD) by the time he was 19.
The celebs had been discussing online trolling, with Muniz admitting he used to retaliate to offensive comments about him on social media platforms.
‘This kid wrote, “I’m sorry but your acting is just awful”. And I was in a movie, and I went, “Yeah it is, but you know what’s not awful? Being retired at 19 with $40 million. Good luck moving out of your mum’s house before you’re 35,”‘ he said.
‘His Twitter name was ‘I heart Mountain Dew’. Like, OK,’ he added.

Fellow celeb Brittany Hockley proceeded to ask Muniz whether he had earned enough money to retire completely.
‘Oh, 100 per cent,’ he responded.
‘But I’m neurotically motivated. I’ve just always worked since I was eight years old. I don’t know how to just be in the moment and not be focused on what I’m doing next.’
According to The Daily Telegraph, by the end of the show’s run, Muniz was reportedly earning approximately AUD$230,000 per episode, without adjusting for inflation.

The actor has been very open on I’m A Celeb about his experiences as a child star.
During Monday’s episode the actor told his fellow celebrities what it was like as a child on set and detailed the strict hours kids can work.
‘They have child labour laws. So from however old to maybe 15, you can only work nine and a half hours. But you have to fit three hours of school in that,’ he explained.

‘We do rehearsal and then they would run you [to school]. And they’d mark when you start because you have to go in 20 minute increments. And as soon as 20 minutes was up, they’d go “OK go on set. Go film.”
‘I think if I added up days off I had, it might have been 30 in the 12 years.’
Muniz explained he was at the height of his career when he decided to quit acting and pursue a career in racing.

‘I called my agents and managers like, “I don’t want to do any acting right now. I’m gonna focus on racing,”‘ he continued.
‘Even when I was I was nominated for awards and stuff like that. I’d go to the award shows and I literally felt like such an outcast. I didn’t feel like “Oh, this is this is my thing.”
