Man drives himself to hospital after stabbed in the jaw

  • A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the jaw after a random attack in Brisbane
  • The man got into an argument with two other men while at a hardware store
  • Police arrested and charged a 23-year-old man over the attack on Monday

A man has driven himself to hospital after being stabbed in the jaw as he sat in his car outside a hardware store north of Brisbane.

Police say the 28-year-old victim was in his car at the back of the North Lakes business when he got into an argument with two other men about 10am on Monday.

The victim was then allegedly stabbed in the jaw by one of the men.

He managed to drive himself to Redcliffe Hospital with his wound, which was described as non life-threatening. 

Police later located the offender on Narangba road in Kurwongbah, where he was taken into custody.

The 23-year-old Morayfield man has been charged with acts intended to maim or disfigure and enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence 

He’s due to face the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
