The man not only endured the dramatic fall, but he would have been rushed down the falls in powerful currents that reach 25mph.

The incident coincidentally took place on the 59th anniversary of the first plunge of Horseshoe Falls that wasn’t in a barrel.

On July 9, 1960, seven-year-old Roger Woodward of Niagara Falls, New York, survived being swept over Horseshoe falls protected just by a life vest following a boating accident.

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls at the New York, Canada border. Horseshoe Falls is the largest, followed by American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.
