  • Police called to Northolt Road in Harrow, northwest London on reports of stabbing
  • One man, believed to be in his 40s, died at scene at 3.50pm
  • Another man arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned by police

 A man in his 40s has died after being stabbed on a street in northwest London.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 3.20pm today after reports of a man being injured in a stabbing on Northolt Road in Harrow.

The man, believed in his mid-40s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 30 minutes later.

Police arrested one person nearby on suspicion of murder.

He was taken to a north London police station where he remains in custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed the incident and said that Major Crime Command has been informed. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at the North-West Command Unit via 101 quoting reference 4680/3Apr.
