Man is shot by police in Melbourne as emergency workers rush to the scene

  • Paramedics treating a man shot by police in Melbourne’s inner north on Monday 

A man has been shot by police in Melbourne’s inner north on Monday afternoon with paramedics rushing to the scene. 

Emergency crews attended Newlands Road in Coburg North about 4.40pm. 

Bystanders called in to radio station 3AW to report they’d heard shots near Coburg Lake Reserve. 

Police have confirmed noone else was injured in the incident.
