From the glamour of Old Trafford to picking up his own dry cleaning! Manchester United star Chris Smalling runs errands as Diogo Dalot hits the beauty salon ahead of PSG clash

  • Manchester United’s players enjoyed some time to themselves on Monday
  • Chris Smalling, Diogo Dalot and Romelu Lukaku were all spotted out and about
  • Smalling collected dry cleaning while Dalot got a fresh haircut ahead of PSG
  • Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side travel to Paris on Tuesday for the Champions League

Manchester United’s squad enjoyed some down time on Monday afternoon as a number of the first-team squad ran some errands before Tuesday’s flight out to Paris.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s depleted side travel to the French capital ahead of facing Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday in the second-leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.

Goals from Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe at Old Trafford on February 12 have handed the French side an overwhelming advantage but Solskjaer’s side are full of confidence having won three from four since that loss.

United are severely depleted with up to 10 players missing the trip through injury.

With Solskjaer wary of losing any more of his players, Monday was kept a low-key affair as players ambled round Greater Manchester to visit the barbers or dry cleaner’s.

Centre back Chris Smalling picked up his dry cleaning while fellow defender Diogo Dalot, now enjoying a run in the side, went for a fresh trim.

Striker Romelu Lukaku has been the biggest revelation since that defeat to PSG last month – the only loss of Solskjaer’s time as boss of United.

The Belgian striker struggled to hit the ground running under the Norwegian interim but has seized his opportunity of late and has four goals in his last two matches.

With Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez struggling for fitness, there has been a growing dependence on Lukaku for goals and he will need to produce in Paris if United have any hopes of a turnaround in the tie.

With Southampton posing stiff opponents on Saturday, Lukaku took responsibility on his shoulders and hit a brace as United ran out 3-2 winners to continue their push for a top four finish.

Lukaku cut a relaxed figure on Monday afternoon as he strolled through town in jeans and a khaki bomber jacket.
