  • The defender has a year remaining on his contract but is set to leave this summer
  • Bayern Munich are in talks to sign him but a fee is yet to be agreed for Walker

Bayern Munich are discussing a move for Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker.

The Bundesliga champions have drawn up a list of options should Benjamin Pavard leave and Thomas Tuchel is keen on Walker.

The 33-year-old has one year left on contract but has not started as much as he would have liked while City were unlikely to renew his deal next summer.

Mail Sport revealed earlier in the week that the former Sheffield United defender was weighing up his options ahead of a potential exit.

Walker is said to be unhappy at City after being dropped from the starting XI for the Champions League final last Saturday.

The defender admitted being ‘disappointed’ after he was left out for the clash with Inter Milan, which City won 1-0 to complete their treble.

Since arriving from Tottenham in 2016, Walker has won 12 trophies, including five Premier Leagues and the UCL, in 254 games.

In that time, he’s also managed to record six goals and 18 assists for Pep Guardiola’s history makers.

Reflecting on what could be his final trophy in Istanbul, the defender said: ‘We couldn’t work as hard as we did all season to throw it away.

‘The lads dug deep. I got a silver medal last time, so to have a gold one is fantastic.

‘I am living the dream. My mum and dad were in the stands. Where I come from in Sheffield it’s not easy for them to be here. I remember when mum didn’t have a pound for the ice cream van. I am so thankful.

‘I am over the moon and very rarely speechless but my dream has just come true. To achieve this with this club, after everything they have done for all of us over the years, to win the Treble is unbelievable.’
