Mandurah: Man captured on dashcam pulling machete out of pram to confront driver

A driver’s dashcam has captured the shocking moment a man pulled a machete out of a pram with a small child inside at a pedestrian crossing.

The disturbing video was shared after a motorist spotted the weapon-wielding man approaching to confront another driver at the intersection of Pinjarra and Mandurah Roads in Mandurah, south of Perth, about 12.40pm on Tuesday.

The dashcam showed a group of four men with a pram walking across the road at a pedestrian crossing near Mandurah Forum shopping centre.

One man paused at the edge of the road and bent down to retrieve what looked like a large knife from the bottom of the pram.

As another man watched the child in the man, the armed man began making his way over to a white car parked on the side of the road around the corner.

The parked vehicle drove away before the man could cause any harm or damage, leaving him to throw his hands up in the air seemingly out of frustration.

‘Guns are illegal to carry meanwhile knives aren’t and easily can be purchased anywhere. Scary!’ the dashcam owner posted online.

Western Australia Police are yet received a report of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident is urged to to call Crime Stoppers
