The actress completed her look with matching black pants and black boots for her day on the set.

She was also seen out of costume, going over her script for the shoot day, donning primarily Earth tones.

She was wearing a white sweater with brown stripes under a dark brown coat, with light brown pants and black combat boots.

Hargitay returns as her iconic character Olivia Benson in Season 25 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the longest-running primetime drama series of all time.

It’s 24 seasons have far surpassed Gunsmoke’s record of 20 season, though at 538 episodes, it’s still behind Lassie (591 episodes), Gunsmoke (635 episodes) and The Simpsons (750 episodes) for the longest-running primetime series ever.

Hargitay has been an advocate for abuse and rape survivor for years, starting the Joyful Heart Foundation in 2004, which provides support for abuse survivors.

The actress opened up about her own rape on Wednsesday in a first-person essay for People, revealing she was raped when she was in her 30s by a friend.

‘A man raped me in my thirties. It wasn’t sexual at all. It was dominance and control. Overpowering control. He was a friend. Then he wasn’t,’ Hargitay began.

‘I tried all the ways I knew to get out of it. I tried to make jokes, to be charming, to set a boundary, to reason, to say no. He grabbed me by the arms and held me down. I was terrified. I didn’t want it to escalate to violence. I now know it was already sexual violence, but I was afraid he would become physically violent,’ she said.

‘I went into freeze mode, a common trauma response when there is no option to escape. I checked out of my body,’ she added.

‘I couldn’t process it. I couldn’t believe that it happened. That it could happen. So I cut it out. I removed it from my narrative,’ the actress continued.

‘I now have so much empathy for the part of me that made that choice because that part got me through it. It never happened. Now I honor that part: I did what I had to do to survive,’ she added.
