Melbourne dancer taken to hospital after 24-hour man hunt

The family of a Melbourne dancer who went missing on Thursday evening from her family home are beyond relieved after their ‘baby girl’ was found by her brother following a 24-hour police hunt.

Anna Magrath, 21, disappeared about 8.30pm when she left her parent’s Packenham home on Bevan Court as she headed for her boyfriend’s house.

Ms Magrath never turned up at her partner’s address who later raised the alarm. She was found late on Friday night in Officer, near the family home.

Adding to the mystery of her disappearance, she was found in a car parked outside a service station in a ‘hypothermic’ state, drifting in and out of consciousness.

‘My baby is back. She’s going to be OK. She’s got all her family and friends with her,’ father Craig Magath revealed to The Herald Sun.

‘She’s conscious now going in and out of sleep. It looks like she has hypothermia … she was so cold.’

Her father believes she spent the night in her car at one of the service stations.

Her brother called an ambulance for Ms Magrath, who was taken to Casey Hospital where she is now recovering.

Victoria Police confirmed the news, updating their Twitter news with the latest revelation.

Her father Craig Magrath revealed the torment his family are going through, who he said are ‘devastated’

‘Good news! Missing woman Anna Magrath has been located safe and well. Thank you for the shares,’ the tweet read.

The dancer has featured in several high-profile television ad campaigns as well as a number of music videos and stage productions, mixing with stars such as Guy Sebastian and Geoffrey Rush.

Her father Craig Magrath revealed on Friday the torment his family were going through, who he said were ‘devastated’.

‘You hear the cliché that it’s out of character, but it is out of character for her, our beautiful daughter,’ he told Nine News.

‘As a parent you always unfortunately think of the worst thing. Anna if you are out there somewhere, call and let us know.’

She had left her home driving a Ford Territory with the license plate UBB151 while wearing a red dress with a long green coat.

Following a possible sighting this morning, she may have slept in the vehicle at a service station at Officer, east of Melbourne on Friday night.

Ms Magrath works with the Ministry of Dance company and her employer Jason Coleman revealed she was one of his most successful performers.

‘She’s possibly the number one girl for bookings at the agency, there’s no way Anna would miss anything. She’s a delightful, amazing young lady – we’re all really worried, devastated in fact,’ Mr Coleman said.

Mr Coleman said Ms Magrath’s most notable appearances were in a Guy Sebastian video and several Bonds underwear ads.

‘I worry that her warmth, her openness and her beauty may have got her into some trouble,’, he added.

Her family are said to be relieved, with her father proclaiming: 'I have my baby back everyone'
