Melbourne eshay goes viral on TikTok for flashing $50 notes outside of Geelong Centrelink office

Cocky eshay in North Face collects thousands of ‘hate views’ for flashing $50 notes and boasting about ‘being paid’ outside of a Centrelink office

  • An eshay celebrated his payday
  • He rapped about diamonds and cash
  • sanedatkid was outside Centrelink with $200

A cocky ‘eshay’ has celebrated his Centrelink payday by busting out a little freestyle for social media outside one of its service centres.

In the TikTok video the aspiring rapper, going by the handle ‘Sane dat kid’, is seen against the backdrop of a Centrelink sign at Geelong, Victoria, flashing four $50 notes as he delivers two rhymes.

He also discusses his haters and putting diamonds on his watch in a video that has racked up hundreds of thousands of angry views.

In the eight second clip, Sane celebrates the milestone payday wearing bright yellow Air Jordans and a puffer jacket from The North Face – the archetypal eshay outfit.

The aspiring rapper, going by Sane, discussed his haters and putting diamonds on his watch in a video that has racked up a hundred thousand angry views

‘Ooo I just got paid,’ he begins.

‘F*** what they say.

‘Yeah I’m up now, flex with a buss down.’

A ‘buss down’, or bust down, refers to a watch with aftermarket diamond encrusting – a trademark feature of flashy rappers seeking to display their wealth.

The video abruptly ends with Sane looking towards the entrance of the office before tucking his $200 away and slumping his head.

The clip triggered many viewers who thought it showed little respect for how their hard-earned tax dollars were being spent.

‘Just worked a double shift on Sunday for you lad. Enjoy it,’ one wrote.

‘I know I paid for those Jordans,’ another added.

‘Bus down to Centrelink and bus back home,’ a third quipped.

‘I wish someone would tell him that if he actually worked he’d get more than $200,’ a fourth noted with tear emojis.

The clip was the latest in a string of videos where Sane flashes cash, sometimes totaling up to $230 and other times dropping to a mere $80.

Other videos see him displaying his phone collection, rapping alongside his girlfriend, and proclaiming himself the ‘king of Melbourne’.

In response to the haters of his freestyle clip, he replied to one comment with an update of what he’d spent the money on: a new pair of Jordans.
