Apple TV+ has released another teaser for the upcoming docuseries on Argentina’s road to glory in Qatar, ‘Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend’.

The four-part show takes supporters behind the scenes of Messi’s five World Cup appearances, culminating in victory in the desert. 

Fans were given a first glimpse of the upcoming series last month, when a first trailer dropped showing archive footage from Messi’s younger days, film from the Argentina team bus as well as interviews with Messi himself and soccer icon Gary Lineker.

Now, filmmakers have teased more of the film, which debuts on Feburary 21 and includes interviews with his Argentina teammates.

The series features interviews with the likes of Emiliano Martinez (L) and Enzo Fernandez (R)

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo De Paul all feature in the 90-second clip.

They discuss playing alongside Messi when the stakes were highest in Qatar, with De Paul revealing what the Argetina captain told his players. 

‘He said: “I can’t fail you”,’ De Paul tells the camera.

Elswhere in the preview, Messi says: ‘I’m ready – with great desire, very excited. To win the World Cup would be the dream ending.’

The trailer also includes behind-the-scenes clips from inside the Argentina medical room and the chaotic scenes after the nation’s victory over France in the final.

‘My journey wasn’t easy. This is my last shot,’ Messi says.

The series will chart his ride from his international debut to Qatar, via several World Cup failures and even early retirement. It also promises ‘the most personal interviews to date with Messi, alongside conversations with teammates, coaches, competitors, devout fans and commentators.’
