Michelle Pfeiffer celebrates three decades of marriage with writer and producer David E. Kelley: ’30 years of bliss’

Michelle Pfeiffer celebrated an important milestone with her husband David E. Kelley, 30 years of marriage.

Pfeiffer, 65, and Kelley, 67, tied the knot 30 years ago today, on November 13, 1993, just 10 months after they first met.

The Scarface actress – who celebrated reaching 3 million Instagram followers in August – took to Instagram on Monday, sharing a snap of the happy couple as they celebrate three decades of matrimony.

’30 years of bliss,’ Pfeiffer said in the caption of the post, which already has over 16K likes in two hours after she posted the snap.

The happy couple first met when her best friend set her up on a blind date with Kelley, but, as she explained to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last year, she was apprehensive.

‘I was kind of nervous … and I’d had a couple of bad blind dates and I had sworn off of them, and my best friend said, ‘Please, just this last time, meet this guy, David Kelley,’ and I said okay,’ Pfeiffer began.

‘I thought it was a good idea to do like a bowling party. So we all met for dinner before, which was the awkward part, probably, I think the bowling part was OK,’ she added.

She continued that he actually sat across from her sister DeDee Pfeiffer and she ended up sitting across from his best friend.

‘He and my sister were just chatting it up because she’s very charming and really good socially. I’m not so good. And he’s a little bit shy, we’re both a bit shy,’ she added.

Pfeiffer said that she turned to her best friend and said, ‘I think I should set DeDee up with him. They seem to be really hitting it off.’

‘She said, “Don’t you dare. I will kill you. I am sitting across from your next husband,”‘ Pfeiffer revealed, which turned out to be true.

‘We hadn’t spoken two words. I don’t know how she thought that, but it didn’t start off great

At a group dinner before the party, Pfeiffer recalled that Kelley had been “chatting it up” with her sister.

‘She said, “I am sitting across from your next husband,”‘ Pfeiffer added, though she explained she still doesn’t know how her friend came to that conclusion.

‘We hadn’t spoken two words. I don’t know how she had thought that,’ Pfieffer added, though.
