Millie Gibson is spotted for the first time with new boyfriend Tom Neatis during a holiday to Italy

Millie Gibson appeared loved-up with new boyfriend Tom Neatis on Saturday as they were snapped strolling the streets of Salerno, Italy.

The actress, 18, who is set to star in the new season of Doctor Who, walked hand-in-hand with her beau, who is a music label owner.

Keeping casual for the outing, the former Coronation Street star sported a pair of light-wash denim mom shorts, teamed with an oversized white shirt.

Shielding her eyes with a pair of dark sunglasses, Tom walked alongside her donning a pair of blue jeans, a grey T-shirt and a navy overshirt.

She hasn’t yet debuted the relationship on social media, sharing some scenic snaps from the Italian trip over the last few days but not revealing who she was there with.

Millie bundled her blonde locks into an up style, crossing a black bag over her torso while she did some sightseeing.

The pair began their trip in capital city Rome earlier this week, before making their way to the Amalfi Coast.

Sharing posts to their respective Instagram accounts, they appear to be enjoying a relaxed trip, taking in the stunning sights.

Little is known about Millie and Tom’s relationship, with this being the first time they have been spotted in public together.

But the actress has been leaving sweet comments on her music head beau’s recent posts, dating back to November – suggesting they have been dating for around six months.

Tom started his own music label, Bloom, in the summer of last year and appears to predominantly specialise in dance music.

Millie’s last public relationship was with childhood sweetheart Drew Cunningham, who she is thought to have split from in 2021.

Her trip is well-deserved after a busy time over the last few months, kicking off filming for Doctor Who in January.

The blonde beauty is set to join the long-running show as character Ruby Sunday, acting as the new Doctor Ncuti Gatwa’s companion.

It was revealed in December that she had bagged the role, with the news being announced during Children In Need’s annual telethon.

Doctor Who returns in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary, with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor.

The Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti, will then take control of the TARDIS, with his first episode airing over the festive period next year.

In a statement, the star said that the new role is a ‘dream come true’ as the much-anticipated secret was finally revealed, much to the delight of fans.

‘Whilst still being in total disbelief, I am beyond honoured to be cast as the Doctor’s companion,’ Millie said in the statement released by the BBC.

‘It is a gift of a role, and a dream come true, and I will do everything to try and fill the boots the fellow companions have travelled in before me.’

She added: ‘And what better way to do that than being by the fabulous Ncuti Gatwa’s side, I just can’t wait to get started.’
