Morgan Glendinning’s mother begs for return of her diabetic daughter

The distraught mother of a missing teenager has appealed for help in finding her diabetic daughter over fears she may have travelled to meet a stranger she talked to on Instagram.

Missing Morgan Glendinning, 13, has not been seen since Monday morning – the first day of the school holidays.

Now, her family fears the schoolgirl from Rushden in Northamptonshire may have travelled to London after meeting a person on the social media photo sharing app.

Distraught dad Brian, 46, said: ‘We don’t exactly know why she has gone missing. She has been talking to different people on Instagram.

‘She is very secretive about who she talks to. We think she might have met up with them on there. 

Morgan’s mother Sharon Glendinning from has appealed for anyone who may have seen her daughter to contact police.

Morgan is diabetic and is believed to have gone missing without taking her medication with her.

Ms Gelndinning said on Twitter: ‘This is my daughter she is believed to have travelled to London, possibly Ealing area. 

‘She is type 1 diabetic. With limited insulin and test strips and no hypo treatment. 

‘Please share for me we are distraught.’

Northamptonshire Police have released images of the school aged girl, in a bid to find her.

Officers said she wears a distinctive jacket.

An appeal said: ‘Police are increasingly concerned over the whereabouts of Morgan Glendinning.

‘She has been missing since Monday morning.’

Morgan is 5’5in tall and of medium build, with long, light brown hair.

She wears a favourite pink coat, regardless of the weather.

Anyone who has any information over the teenager’s whereabouts should contact police on 101.
