Mum shares snaps of her supremely-organised kitchen – but Aussies can’t get over one tiny fridge detail

  • Australian woman Emma shared snaps of her Hamptons-inspired home online
  • Many were ‘obsessed’; others confused why she stores Nurofen in the fridge

A mum has wowed hundreds online after sharing pictures of her supremely-organised pantry – but Aussies can’t get over one tiny thing in the fridge.

The Australian woman, called Emma, posted on Facebook, where she shared photos of her drawers, pantry, fridge, cupboards and kids’ wardrobes.

Emma said she buys the bulk of her storage items including her containers, snack tubs, spice racks, coat hangers and fridge organisers from Kmart.

And while many were impressed by the organisation and pretty Hamptons-inspired colour scheme, others were quick to notice one tiny fridge detail.

‘Why is the Nurofen inside the fridge?’ one woman wrote, with others also raising the issue.

Another commented to say that she also puts her Nurofen medication in the fridge if it’s liquid, and leaves the pills outside in a nearby drawer.

Most over-the-counter medications are labelled for storage in a dry, room temperature environment, with the Nurofen bottle stating it should be stored at a temperature ‘below 25 degrees Celsius’.

According to Family HQ, while some medications do need to be stored in the fridge (like certain antibiotics), everyday medications like Ibuprofen and paracetamol should be kept at room temperature.

Many in Australia choose to store it in the fridge due to higher temperatures in the home.

‘This is so not real life but it does look great,’ one person commented.

‘Looks like a full-time job to keep it that way,’ another added.
