Jim Carrey’s drawing of the violent death of Italy’s wartime fascist dictator Benito Mussolini and his mistress prompted an angry response from his granddaughter.

Alessandra Mussolini, who is a member of the European Parliament, slammed the Dumb and Dumber star on Twitter on Saturday as a ‘b*****d’ for drawing a sketch of her grandfather and Clara Petacci hanging upside down from a rafter.

Carrey’s drawing is based on the real life deaths of Mussolini and his mistress Claretta Petacci.

On April 28, 1945, communist partisan fighters captured and executed Mussolini and his lover as they were traveling with a convoy of other fascist leaders in Italy.
