Neighbours star Ryan Moloney sells his Mornington Peninsula estate ‘for $8M’

Neighbours star Ryan Moloney, who plays the lovable lawyer Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi on the soon-to-be-cancelled Aussie soap, has sold his home in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula for an undisclosed figure.

The 42-year-old actor and his wife of 19 years, Alison Hayward, had listed the sprawling estate with a price guide of between $7.5million and $8million in January, reports Realestate.com.au.

Ryan and Alison first purchased the home, which sits on on 4.33 hectares of land and is close to the beach, back in 2015.

It boasts a pool, gym, half-size basketball court, barn, riding arena and stables.

A young local family bought the property from Ryan and Alison, according to Homes and Acreage director Grant Perry.

‘They loved everything – the horse facilities, the new home, that it was built in a sustainable way,’ Mr Perry said, adding that the new owners were ‘very happy’.

Mr Perry said Ryan and his family were ‘stoked’ by the sale, but didn’t disclose the sale price, which is believed to be within the price guide.

The Moloneys have reportedly bought another home in the area.

The property was on the market for about a month, and attracted ‘more than 100 inquiries and 50 inspections from local and city-based buyers’.

It was first reported in late January that Ryan and Alison had listed the four-bedroom house on the market.

According to realestate.com.au at the time, the completely private home boasts rolling land for miles.

The combined lounge and kitchen area features an outpouring of natural light from the full-length windows.

Sliding glass doors lead out to the pool and fire pit area with built-in seating, making it ideal for entertaining guests.

There’s a master and ensuite with a huge dressing room, as well as a study for working from home.

The bathroom has his-and-hers sinks and a standalone bath, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the surrounding views.

At the time, Mr Perry said the area would ‘really appeal’ to someone with horses, thanks to its spacious horse shelters and a 60x20m riding arena.

‘You can ride straight out from the property down to Balnarring Beach, where you are allowed to ride on the beach,’ he added.

Ryan has appeared on Neighbours as Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi since 1995.

The Australian soap is set to cease filming in June after 37 years on the air due to British broadcaster Channel 5 refusing to finance its production.
