‘COVID-19 is circulating in the community’: NSW issues a chilling warning as it reports NINE mystery cases

New South Wales has reported nine mystery cases of COVID-19 over the week as community transmission fears grow.  

The state recorded on Friday nine new cases with two from returned travellers, three from known sources and another three that are still being investigated.

A student also tested positive at Tangara School for Girls at Cherrybrook, in Sydney’s north-west, forcing the closure of the premises. 

The new cases bring the state figure of COVID-19 cases to 3,362 with 52 deaths.

NSW Health has also noted of the new cases recorded in the state over the week, nine have not been linked to known cases.

‘COVID-19 is circulating in the community,’ the department warned.

‘It’s extremely important we all play our part in prevention all the time.’
