A wife was shattered when her husband left her for her friend and jetted off on holiday to the hotel they had booked for their honeymoon.
After missing out on a honeymoon when they got married several years earlier, the Kiwi couple decided to have a belated celebration and booked a luxury hotel in an undisclosed location.
While the woman’s husband initially seemed excited for the trip, his mood began to change as their departure date approached.
Eventually he announced he wanted a divorce.

‘Everything after that is a blur, but I can picture his face and how nervous he was. I was so, so, so, so shocked,’ the jilted wife told New Zealand blog, Capsule Diaries.
She said her husband ‘coldly’ replied: ‘Because I can see that I’m not in love with you and this marriage is not going to work out.’
The woman said she was devastated and felt increasingly isolated when her friends suddenly started to exclude her from group events.
She recalled being reduced to tears after spotting her mates enjoying on a night out that she hadn’t been invited to.
The woman said she plucked up the courage to confront one of her closest pals about the situation, and arranged to meet her for breakfast.
When she arrived, two of her other friends were there too.
The trio broke the news that her husband had been seeing someone they all knew, a lady named Gemma.
When neither her ex nor his lover returned her phone calls, the woman went to Gemma’s workplace to find out if they had been having an affair all along.
The receptionist informed her that Gemma was away on holiday – the very week the former couple had planned to go on their belated honeymoon.
Distraught, the woman called one of her friends who confirmed her ex husband had taken his mistress to the luxury hotel they had booked together.
The woman said her ex later told friends the relationship only started after their marriage had ended, but she doesn’t believe him.
‘It was complete b******t and I know it. How do you suddenly go on a romantic holiday with someone you’ve only been dating a handful of weeks?’ she asked.
