Nipsey Hussle’s brother describes finding the rapper dying in the street and covered in blood

Nipsey Hussle’s brother reportedly found the rapper dying in the street outside his clothing store in LA.

Samiel Asghedom described how he saw the fatal gunshot wound to the back of his head and the front of his shirt was blood-soaked.

A crowd had begun to gather around the stricken rapper outside the Marathon Clothing shop in Los Angeles and Asghedom started praying, he told the LA Times.

He told how he first saw the severity of the injury when Hussle was loaded into the back of an ambulance and someone in the crowd screamed.

Asghedom reportedly raced to the scene after getting a call from their younger brother and arrived before the paramedics.

Also known as ‘Blacc Sam’, Asghedom said the alleged killer, Eric Holder, was able to repeatedly shoot his brother because no one nearby was armed.

Marathon Clothing mainly hired felons who are unable to carry guns, according to the Times.

He told the newspaper: ‘Because of that, the man was able to shoot my brother, start running, realize nobody out there had a gun, stop, turn back around, walk up, shoot my brother two more times, start to run, realize nobody had a gun, nobody was responding, ran back up and shot my brother three more times, shoot him in the head and kicked him in the head and then ran off.

‘If somebody would’ve been there – if I would’ve been there – I would’ve shot back. I just wish I would’ve been there.’

Asghedom added he wanted to carry on his 33-year-old brother’s legacy of community work and activism.

Hussle was due to meet LA police chiefs to discuss ways to end gun violence the day before he was shot dead.

Holder was arrested on Wednesday over the murder and appeared in court yesterday, also charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The 29-year-old was represented by attorney Chris Darden, who was one of the O.J. Simpson prosecutors.

Holder, whose nickname is ‘Sh***y Cuz’, is accused of arguing with Hussle then walking away and returning with a handgun to shoot him and two associates. The two other men survived but the rapper was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He allegedly opened fire, shooting all three of them, then fled in a waiting car that was being driven by an unidentified woman. The brutal killing was caught on surveillance camera footage.

Holder was taken into custody by LA County Sheriff’s Officers on Tuesday afternoon in Bellflower, around 20 miles from where he allegedly killed Hussle on Sunday.

It came after his alleged getaway driver, a woman who is yet to be named, spoke out to say she had no idea he had just shot Hussle when he came running back to their car on Sunday.

Police sources say he and the rapper were known to one another and that it was a gang-related killing but they have not revealed further details or suggested a motive but they say it was ‘personal’ and had not been ordered by gang leaders.

It is being claimed online that he has been ‘green lit’ by the Crips, the gang to which he belonged and allegedly ‘snitched’ on, to be killed.

Hussle was a hero in southern L.A. where he was trying to legitimize gang members by developing the area and eradicating violence.

He was a former Rollin’ 60s member but was eager to work with the LAPD to stamp out gang wars peacefully and maintained strong relationships with the community.

On Monday night, chaos broke out outside Marathon Clothing, the store which he owned and where he was killed, as hundreds of people who had gathered to pay their respects started running from the scene without explanation.

The stampede injured 19 people but it remains unclear what sparked the panic.

The crowds left balloons, candles and cards for the rapper in the exact spot where he was shot multiple times at close range on Sunday.

Two other men who were with Hussle were also shot but they survived with injuries.

Hussle’s death has rocked the music and entertainment industry.

His long-term girlfriend, actress Lauren London, is yet to comment on his death.

The LAPD commissioner Steve Soboroff said he was ‘very sad’ about the news when it emerged on Monday.

Soboroff fought back tears as he read aloud an email that Hussle sent him on February 26 about working together.

Surveillance video captured the moment the rapper was killed.

The video captured a man, now allegedly believed to be Holder, approaching Hussle and a group of men as they stood by a white car parked at the front of his store.

Seconds later, Hussle could be seen dropping to the ground while multiple men fled the scene as the gunfire rang out.

The gunman could be seen firing from a distance before approaching and shooting multiple times at close range.

He then appeared to kick Hussle before fleeing the same way he came.

Sources told the Los Angeles Times that Holder had gotten into a dispute with the rapper in the lead up to the shooting.

Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital.

He suffered gunshot wounds to his head and torso, according to the L.A. County Medical Coroner.

The two other men who were injured in the shooting remain in stable conditions.
