Notts County 3-2 Boreham Wood: Jodi Jones netted in extra-time to send Notts County to the National League Playoff Final at Wembley.

Femi Ilesanmi but the visitors in the lead against the run of play after 37 minutes when Sheffield United loanee George Broadbent squared the ball to the 32-year-old.

The Wood doubled their advantage on the brink of half-time after Lee Ndlovu capitalised on a defensive error then cooly placed his shot beyond Sam Slocombe.

Luke Williams’ team battled back after the break however, and Aden Baldwin scored on 47 minutes to keep their hopes of promotion alive.

The hosts had an opportunity to level the game through after Ruben Rodrigues was fouled in the penalty box but the ensuing spot kick from the 26-year-old was saved.

With defeat seeming inevitable, County waited until the last possible moment to strike back with Baldwin heading home to take the game into extra time.

After a nervous extra-time, the clash looked set to be decided by spot kicks before substitute Jodi Jones scored with just seconds remaining to secure a come-from-behind victory.
