Ontario couple Stephanie Blais and Brett Macoretta have chicken nugget-themed engagement photoshoot

A newly-engaged couple recently came together to celebrate their love in a sweet engagement shoot. That is, their love for chicken nuggets.

Stephanie Blais and Brett Macoretta from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada decided not to go the traditional engagement shoot, posing for simple and classic loved-up shots that they could use on their Save the Dates.

Instead, they hired photographer Katie Silva to capture them swooning over the only thing the bride might love more than her husband-to-be: fried chicken nuggets.

According to Silva, Steph ‘really likes chicken nuggets’ — and anyone who knows her could tell you that about her.

When planning the shoot, Steph decided that she really wanted nuggets to be present in some of the photos, and she especially wanted a shot of her engagement ring among pieces of the chicken.

‘That request was RIGHT up my alley,’ Silva, the photographer, told Daily Mail Online. ‘When a client asks to include nuggets in their shoot, one does NOT say no to that.’

Steph brought he McDonald’s, and Silva said they enjoyed a ‘hilarious’ photoshoot with shots taken throughout the city.

‘When Steph mentioned the nugget idea to me, I immediately had a vision come to mind. I wanted to give off the “new parent” vibe to the shoot, only instead of welcoming a child, it was a nugget,’ said Silva.

‘I’m that photographer who will go to great extents and intentionally embarrass myself to get genuine laughs out of you. But with these guys — they had ME laughing the whole time,’ she went on. ‘It was great. They are such a down to earth, cool couple.’

After the shoot, Silva shared some of the highlights on Instagram, where they quickly earned attention and admiration.

And she says there is more to come, too, when she shoots the couple’s wedding later this year.

‘Steph already told me they have a nugget bar in the works for the wedding. Not even kidding,’ she said.

She also sees the possibility of the couple continuing to include nuggets in major milestones down the road, like maternity shoots.
