Paris Hilton and mom Kathy are called out over HEAVILY edited Christmas snap that shows warped faces

Paris Hilton and her mom, Kathy Hilton, have been accused of heavily editing some newly shared Christmas snaps – which social media users said left the pair looking totally ‘unrecognizable’.

The model and former reality star, 41, shared some pictures of her and her mother, 63, baking holiday cookies together to Instagram on Sunday – and many of her followers were quick to notice that the mother-daughter duo looked very different in the photos.

‘There’s nothing like making #ThatsHot Christmas cookies with your mom in your Christmas PJs,’ Paris captioned the post, referring to her now-famous slogan, ‘That’s hot.’

‘I love this time of year because I go all out with my decorations, get to spend time with my family and friends, and get to give them all legendary presents.’

In the images, Paris and her mother could be seen posing together in the kitchen while wearing a matching set of pajamas, but their severely-rendered faces quickly caught the attention of many people on the web.

In the comment section, some users compared Paris and Kathy to ‘wax figures,’ while others slammed them for for ‘overdoing’ the ‘FaceTune,’ which is an app used to touch up photos.

‘How much FaceTune do you need?’ asked one commenter. ‘You both are so gorgeous, just be natural.’

‘Whoever edited these pics used [the f**k] out of FaceTune. That’s why they look like wax figures,’ someone else replied.

Another person added: ‘You’re great, however, your editor could do a little better … you don’t need all that extra FaceTuning for photos, you’ve been stunning since day one.’

‘Kathy Hilton looks younger than when I first learned about her 20 years ago,’ joked a different Instagram user.

‘Is no one going to address the extreme FaceTune?’ asked someone else.

‘You need to chill with the FaceTune. Love the skin you’re in,’ agreed another commenter.

Some people even claimed that they couldn’t recognize the former reality star in the pictures.

‘Paris doesn’t even look like herself, and Kathy is way overdone,’ read another comment.

‘Is that Paris?’ asked someone else, while a different person wrote, ‘Too much filter. It doesn’t look like you Paris, and you’re beautiful.’

‘Are you kidding me? That is not Paris,’ another user said, while a different commenter claimed, ‘Is that a filter? ‘Cause that’s not what Paris looks like.’

Others compared her to Kim Kardashian, who has been called out for altering some of her own pictures in the past.

‘I thought she was Kim K at first,’ wrote a different user, while another added, ‘Kinda looks like Paris Kardashian.’

Both women wore heavy makeup in the photos, which showed them cooking, standing in front of a pink sparkly Christmas tree, and opening presents.

Paris opted to keep her blonde locks pulled back in a high ponytail, while her mother left hers loose around her face.

The post comes just seven months after the socialite slammed ‘toxic beauty standards’ created by people ‘using filters all the time’ on social media.

‘I can’t imagine being 12, 13 years old and seeing these beauty standards that are not real, and using the filters all the time,’ she said during an interview with The Sunday Project back in May.

‘I think in some ways it can be very toxic. It’s just… I don’t know. I think it’s not really good for someone’s mind at that age.’
