Patrice Evra reposts his gruesome Halloween costume from 2017 which saw the ex-Man United star covered in fake blood and licking a plastic machete… as disturbed fans joke he is ‘scaring the kids’

Former Manchester United star Patrice Evra got into the Halloween spirit as the Frenchman reshared one of his horror themed outfits from 2017.

The former left back turned pundit has been known for his extravagant celebrations to mark Halloween in recent years.

Evra shared video of him covered in fake blood on Instagram, with the clip showing him licking a plastic machete.

He was also seen sporting a fake wound, while surrounded by carved pumpkins.

The clip appears to be an upload from his costume in 2017, which previously freaked out his Instagram followers.

The clip also features one of the pumpkins which has been carved to read ‘I love this game’.

Evra has regularly used ‘I love this game’ as his catchphrase in recent years.

Evra shared his post with the caption ‘Happy Halloween, I tried my best to look scary (even my mum call me and ask if I had an accident.’

Fans were quick to comment on Evra’s post, joking that he had ‘won Halloween’ and was ‘scaring the kids’ with his gruesome clip.

‘I had to watch it twice to get over the first time,’ one fan commented, with another joking ‘I’m scared now.

‘Bro you won Halloween,’ a third posted, with a fourth replying ‘What @patrice.evra you are doing stop it, you are scaring the kids.’

Evra, a Premier League and Champions League winner in his time at Old Trafford, has been noted for his commitment for dressing up on Halloween.

Last year, he shared a snap of himself perched on a Patmobile, while dressed as ‘Patman’ – a reference to iconic character Batman.

He even went as far as to arrange a personalised number plate on his ‘Batmobile’, which read ‘Patman’.
